Project |Home Instruction for Parents
             of Preschool Youngsters [HIPPY}

The Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), formerly Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youngsters, is a home-based, early intervention program that helps parents create experiences for their children that lay the foundation for success in school and later life. The program is designed specifically for those parents who may not feel confident in their own abilities to teach their children. In the United States, HIPPY is a program designed for parents with children ages three, four and five. Current advisory committee member of the HIllsborough Hippy Parent involvement Project.

Project |Hillsborough County Back-2-                   School Fair Coalition

The purpose of the “Back to School Fair” is to initiate school readiness, parental involvement, and community interaction, targeting economically challenged families who reside in Hillsborough County.  Students are provided with free school supplies such as backpacks, pens, paper, notebooks, etc., in addition to health services such as immunization, eye   examinations and physicals provided by our partners such as St.  Joseph's Children Hospital and Hillsborough County Health Department.               Believer's Society
                  Believer's Society Coordinator

National Achievers Society (NAS) is a vehicle to identify and nurture the aspirations of students in grades K-12. Membership also provides academic and cultural enrichment activities as well as promotes community service. As a feeder program of the NAS, the Believers Society provides assistance to children who maybe experiencing academic and/or behavior challenges. These students strive to improve their grades and/or conduct to qualify for membership into the NAS Society

             American Families Project 
             Data Researcher Analyst

 

Research project identifying the strengths of African-American families and creating neighborhood-based systems of care, with the goal of improving the academic achievement of children within African-American communities throughtout tampa, conducting culturally competent community-based research, and developing intervention strategies to improve service delivery systems within African-American communities lead by USF Professor Dr. Richard Briscoe.

Project |Toys 4 Tots
              Site Director

Project LINK and the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation joined forces for Christmas in the Park, a local toy drive benefiting the Toys for Tots Foundation, during their annual Toys for Tots Drive.   Project Link partnered with local businesses to collect toys during the drive, which was distributed for the annual Toys for Tots Distribution.
